A Cowboy, His Horse and His... Chili!
Forget the rifle - the most important thing for this cold cowboy is a steaming hot bowl of this dinner staple of the old Southwest - Chili con Carne. Tender chunks of beef mixed with bell peppers, onions, garlic, kidney beans and chili powder all slowly cooked in a beer and tomato sauce flavored with cumin and oregano. Served piping hot topped with shredded cheese, chopped onions and a dollop of sour cream. The American Southwest at its best!
